TARDIS Cabinets of South Wales

Sooner, or later, you’re going to need a TARDIS

I create TARDIS-inspired boxes and cabinets for customers around the globe. My builds are more than just replicas of the Doctor’s Police Public Call Box, they each have a unique function!

These creations serve as ring boxes, jewellery or pen cabinets, dice tumblers, wall clocks, table lamps, cremation urns, wedding card receptacles, and much more!

Wood is my chosen medium. Perhaps in a parallel universe, I’d be a painter or poet, but in this reality, I’m a cabinet maker and TARDIS builder.

All the wood I use is high-quality hardwood—tight grain and more durable. Predominantly, I work with Poplar, Ash, Oak, Walnut, and Birch. Each cabinet and box is handmade with care by a Whovian.

Hi, I'm Gary.

I'm a Doctor Who fan because the show is optimistic, whimsical, and exciting. I like optimism and whimsy and excitement. I've been a fan since Tom Baker was the Doctor.

I studied at Colorado University in Boulder and the Banff School of Fine Art in Alberta, Canada. I live in the hills of Llangyfelach, South Wales.

Since 1983, I've approached my woodworking as an art form, not a hobby. I'm a craftsman and a small businessman, building solid wood Public Call Box-inspired cabinets and boxes.

I also work with exotic woods like East Indian and Brazilian Rosewood, Ecuadorian Purpleheart, American Black Walnut, and Birch Burl, appreciating the native beauty of each piece.
